Kottke's Year
A year ago, Jason Kottke asked his readers for contributions, so he could spend the year blogging. He hoped for, and got, about 1/3 of his former salary -- enough income, in short, to get by.
In the anniversary post, "Oh, what a year", he thanks everyone and explains (obliquely) why he's not asking for contributions again this year.
